The shoreline area hosts yacht races, fishing tournaments, horse shows, art shows, craft fairs, boat shows, and much more throughout the summer. The International Jazz Festival held every year in the summer months. Taste of Old Saybrook and Blue Fish Tournaments are a few of the major events taking place; which attract many visitors from all over the area.

The Sandpiper Inn requires two-night minimum weekend stays during the summer. Honestly, one day is never long enough to explore the area!
